Since we only have 24 residents, we are all close and like to hang out with each other! You can find most of us in the lounge most days, either psetting and studying together using the Pomodoro method, watching movies on our big tv and super comfortable couches, or screaming at each other playing SMASH or Mario Kart on the Switch! On the left is a picture of Callie sleeping on our very comfortable couch :3
Here in iHouse, we have many traditions: fall and spring retreat - a weekend in each semester where we go out as a group and explore nature and just have fun (see pictures on home page), last year we went to Salem, Massachusetts and an Airbnb in New Hampshire; frosh toast - where the upperclassmen give each new freshman a gift, this year, the frosh got squishmallows (pictured on the left); AINDHGE - the Annual iHouse Non Denominational Holiday Gift Exchange and Winter Formal, where we give each other gifts right before the winter holidays and have dinner together; and many more smaller events throughout the year!
Again, since we have a small amount of residents, we have the most kitchen space for each individual person in New House. If you don't have a meal plan, you will get one full row of fridge space, as well as two rows of cabinet space. The kitchen is pretty big and clean (for the most part). We expect everyone to clean up after themselves and do their dishes, if not, the housing points chair will track you down >:)
